It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Dr. William “Jim” Beattie, KF5HRF, passed away this morning. Jim sustained serious injuries on Monday August 6, 2018, when he fell from his roof. After doing everything possible Jim succumbed to his injuries Wednesday morning. Please keep Jim and his family in your prayers. Arrangements will be posted when we have more info.
Winter Field Day was a blast! Thanks to all who attended and contributed!!
It has been a while since I have been able to add new materials to the website. Between all the many distractions that is life nowadays it has been difficult. However I am very pleased to announce that we are back with a vengeance. We have resumed teaching licensing classes, added new hands on demonstrations at the regular meetings and we have been adding new hams and upgrading existing hams as fast as we can. We have new student materials and updated lesson plans to help as well as we are the only group in the region that offers both regular and large print materials for those that are visually impaired. We are fully American Disabilities Act compliant and will do everythng in our power to work with our students to meet their individual needs. For any additional information please feel free to contact Chuck Petri, KF5YDG, at KF5YDG@WD5TYL.ORG or (936) 635-0060.
