The Tyler County Amateur Radio Association aims to promote amateur radio, community service, camaraderie, and education. The Tyler County Amateur Radio Association supports  ARES/RACES and stands ready to serve our community with back up communication for emergencies and public service events.  Amateur Radio was the first means of social networking. Today, Amateur Radio provides the broadest and most powerful wireless communications capability available to any private citizen anywhere in the world!

If you are already a Ham or are interested in getting your license, you are invited to attend our monthly TCARA meetings at 7pm on first Thursday of every month or our monthly TC-ARES meetings at 7pm on the third Thursday of every month.  Both meetings are at the Tyler County Emergency Management Building.
